GAME FEEDS

In their natural environment, wild game species have little need for supplementary feeding as their free-ranging habits enable them to pursue more nutritious grazing and therefore satisfy their nutrient requirements. The advent of game farming has resulted in wild animals being confined to camped-off areas. This combined with the desire for more prolific breeding, has necessitated the use of supplementary feeding when nature cannot supply.

In the case of boma-fed and stabled animals, their total feed requirements have to be met.

Epol Game pellets are formulated to ensure optimal amounts of digestible protein, amino acids, minerals, trace minerals and vitamins.

Epol offers a wide selection of feeds for game species suited to their specific needs and living conditions.

Game farming is becoming increasingly popular, which means that needs are changing. Living in confinements means that game cannot naturally sustain their nutritional requirements. This, together with farmers’ desire for more productive breeding, has created a need for the use of supplementary feeding in instances that cannot be supplied by nature.

Epol game feeds are formulated to ensure that optimal levels of digestible protein, amino acids, minerals, trace minerals and vitamins are supplied.

The focus of Epol game feeds is to supplement nutritional deficiencies in natural pasture, as well as supplementing and feeding game in captivity, for example in bomas, auction camps and zoos. Feed can also be used to attract game to certain observation points or out of specific areas.
